Beyond Linux

Linux is everywhere, but what does it mean when we talk about “Linux”? Join William as he discusses the history of Linux with a focus on popular distributions and their differences and similarities. You’ll learn about both the back-end and front-end parts of Linux and armed with this knowledge, you’ll then see how you can take advantage of CSS styling to alter the appearance of your Linux GUI apps and also see examples of how to make native API calls to utilize even more Linux features.

Everything Microsoft Windows

Microsoft Windows has a wide variety of technologies under the hood. Join William as he gives you a history of everything Windows, covering topics such as Win32, .NET, UWP, Direct2D, ActiveX and more. By applying an understanding of these technologies you’ll learn how to create better performing user interfaces (with no flicker!), handle printing effectively and see examples of how to make native API calls to take advantage of even more Windows features.
