AUSTIN, Texas (October 12, 2022) — Xojo, Inc. announces the immediate availability of Xojo 2022 Release 3. Xojo is a cross-platform integrated development environment and programming language for building applications for desktop (macOS, Windows, Linux), web, mobile and single board computers, like the Raspberry Pi. Beginning with Xojo’s drag-and-drop user interface builder and using its straight-forward programming language, Xojo's approach to software development saves developers time and makes them more productive.
Xojo 2022 Release 3 is highly focused on community-reported issues and provides fixes for over 180 reported bugs while delivering 28 new features, 20 of which were requests from users. Xojo users choose Xojo because of how productive it makes them. This release continues to expand that value by significantly reducing load times for large projects. Additionally, the Xojo IDE has been updated with the goal of further improving features introduced in recent versions like, PDF support.
"When choosing a development tool, developers look at what will make them the most productive and able to develop quality applications within timeframe and budget," commented Travis Hill, Director of Engineering at Xojo. "But, the small details matter too. With Xojo 2022 Release 3 we added hundreds of user-reported quality improvements to all areas of the product - from general IDE improvements to the debugger and the compiler itself, so developers can focus on developing their app."
"The process by which we innovate and move Xojo forward is constantly evolving," said Geoff Perlman, Xojo's Founder and CEO. "As a company we are passionate about delivering a product that our users can rely on, many of whom generate some or all of their income from apps made with Xojo. The improvements in this release streamline user experience and product stability, enabling developers to be more productive and ultimately, more successful."
Xojo is free to use for learning and development. A license is required to build your applications. Pricing begins at $149 for building for a single desktop platform. Building cross-platform desktop, iOS or web applications is $399. Xojo Pro and Pro Plus packages are available from $799 and up, offering increased support and resources for professional developers.
